Virtual mobility
BULGARIA JUNE 21-24.06.2021
During the mornings, our students participated in classes of the Bulgarian school and had the opportunity to watch lessons conducted in another country and school but of subjects such as the ones they are taught. They all said that it was a unique experience they will never forget as it helped them realize similarities and differences between their schools. In the afternoons there were several activities:
June 21st
Common activity was done together with the Bulgarian and the Romanian team which was physically present in Varna. We all participated physically and virtually at the International poster Exhibition of Traditional food of all the partners’ countries which the students presented wearing traditional costumes. The students showed their peers what is considered as traditional dishes and also expressed their preferences.
June 22nd
Each country took turns to present their school through PowerPoint presentations and then went on to present their town/city. It was a pleasurable activity as students took the role of a tour guide in talking about their hometown and showing places of interest to a visitor.
June 23rd
We organized a meeting to present Power Point materials of healthy eating followed by discussions about the risks of predominant consumption of fast food. As the main point of the mobility is about nutrition and healthy eating, the benefits of fruit, vegetables and nutritional value of different foods was presented and the need to avoid readymade and fast food was pointed out. The students presented materials they had prepared about “good” and “bad” calories. Students from classes E and F took part along with their teachers Mrs Ioanna Kouniaki, Mrs Anna Pantsou, Mrs Myrto Kotika ,Mr Dimitris Kefalas, Mrs Eleni Zervou, Mrs Lemonia Petra, Mrs Maro Karandani, Mrs Irini Syka.
June 24th
The final day was devoted to the impressions of the students and a debate on the overall conclusion of the meeting. There was an on- line evaluation of the whole activity and a cross discussion about the dissemination strategies to be followed. Students from class E2 with the supervision of their ICT teacher Mr Michael Petrozellis recorded parts of the sessions and showed them to other classes.
Dissemination
All the partners informed the students, teachers’ councils, parents’ association about the activities of the entire mobility and the school Erasmus+ corner was updated with photos. An announcement concerning the mobility was published on the local newspaper, schools’ webpage, Project's Blog, Facebook and eTwinning.
Impact
Reflection on the overall impact of the virtual mobility and discussion with the students, parents and teachers revealed that it was an amazing experiences for all of them as many more students and teachers were able to participate and get the chance to improve their English language skills. Also, as some of the activities were watched by the students from home, the parents were able to watch and realize how important this is for their children to be part of this big European school family. The parents were also thrilled to take part in this fabulous activity with their children.
